ideas for building a meal around the funky meatballs with yogurt and chili oil that Kenji mentions here?

things he suggests go well with yogurt and chili oil:
– roasted broccoli – cucumber salad – funky lamb meatballs with dill and cilantro
one could make these three things and have all of them with yogurt and chili oil, but I wonder if there’s another side that would work well? hard to imagine since the combination is so unusual and doesn’t seem to belong to any cuisine.
also curious if anyone has thoughts about what else would go into the funky meatballs. what would be good to use for the penade? would dried currents be good (kenji mentioned them as a tasty option in one of his meatball videos)?
