📋 INGREDIENTS:

• 800 g mushrooms (28 oz)
• 2 onions
• 3 cloves garlic
• 4 small potatoes (approx. 300 g / 10.5 oz), diced
• 1 red bell pepper, cut into pieces
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder
• ½–1 tsp smoked paprika powder
• ½ tsp chili flakes (to taste)
• 1 tbsp Tomato paste
• 1 tsp caraway seeds
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 500 ml vegetable broth (2 cups)
• 1 tbsp flour
• 1 bay leaf
• Salt and black pepper

  4. I used to eat a lot of Hamburger Helper. One day, as I was walking through the produce section of my local supermarket, I saw some portobello mushrooms on sale, and I was inspired.
    I bought some up, chopped them up, and used them in place of hamburger in Hamburger Helper's Beef Stroganoff (I always added frozen peas & carrots and chopped onions, and I did the same here).
    It turned out great.
