The shortlist for the 2026 Italian Awards has been released, featuring several restaurants across Wales.
The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on March 30 at the Marriott Grosvenor Hotel, Mayfair.
The 2 Italian restaurants in North Wales shortlisted for award
Two Italian restaurants in North Wales have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Restaurant in Wales’ category:
Rossini’s Italian Restaurant (Rhyl)
Rossini’s, located in Rhyl, is a long-serving local restaurant offering “traditional, authentic” Italian dishes prepared with “fresh ingredients to the highest standards”.
Its website continues: “With an extensive menu that allows us to cater for all of our customers’ Italian gastronomic needs & an efficient/friendly staff, Rossini’s has gained a reputation in the local area as a top eatery with a loyal customer base.”
Rossini’s Italian Restaurant comes highly recommended by customers, boasting a 4.2 rating (out of 5) on Tripadvisor from 371 reviews.
One visitor commented: “We discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant in our own town of Rhyl. Incredible to have something so good, so near.
“Amazing food and at very reasonable prices (The calzone is huge)!

Torna a Surriento (Bangor)
Torna a Surriento in Bangor is described as an “authentic Italian restaurant” serving “traditional homemade Italian food for everybody”.

This satisfied customer posted: “I’m local to the area and can honestly say this is the best food around. Fresh and really tasty Italian cuisine. The staff are lovely, efficient and authentic.
