That’s not freezer burn, that’s just due to being frozen immediately after sealing it. ROP temporarily changes the color of meat, as meat isn’t as red when in an anaerobic environment. But if you throw it right in the freezer, it doesn’t have enough time to fully change. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
If you gave it more time before freezing it, the entire steak would be the brown/purple color. It typically changes back when exposed to oxygen again.
