If I remember correctly, or you just really look like him, I did a tasting at your winery/tasting room 2 or 3 years ago. Super fun wines and good time. Would recommend to anyone here.

How did you get into it? Does it pay well?

I have heard and read that some high alcohol Pinot can display cola notes, for example kosta Browne. I’ve also heard it’s an extremely hard grape to grow but a very popular grape to drink. I’m managing a wine program and wonder any recommendations you would have for me.

If you had to drink only one Pinot for the rest of your life, what are you picking? And a follow up, what wine are you having with a “last meal”?

I recently started as the Enologist at a winery on the central coast after 3 industry harvests and getting both my bachelor’s and master’s in Vit & Enol.
How do you manage the not so pretty side of winemaking: the compliance work, managing sales and inventory, scheduling, keeping records, etc.?
This is the side that has been really daunting for me. I very much understand the lab and am comfortable with winemaking decisions and theory but all the other management stuff seems insurmountable to me.
Thanks!

What is your wine? Do you grow the grapes? What winemaking practices do you follow? Do you fine/filter?

What do you think of the current economics of winemaking, tourism, and consumer prices? Personally, I’ve had to end two of my sonoma winery subscriptions due to the cost increases, and I’m afraid it’s only going to continue.
