A final reminder for anyone who wants to submit a recipe to be included in a new cookbook in Jefferson that is being compiled by one non-profit organization.

Jefferson Matters Director Matt Wetrich says the “Taste of Jefferson” Cookbook will feature individuals who pass along their recipes to be organized into a cookbook and shared by everyone in the community. He urges everyone to not hold back on their submissions.

“And there’s no limit. You don’t have to like, ‘Is it this one? Ooo, nah!’ Why choose? Submit them all! And we want like main dishes, we want side dishes, we want desserts, we want drinks, we want apps, whatever it may be. We’ve got lots of categories. Don’t be shy.”

Wetrich points out that the final day for people to hand in hard copies of their recipes to the Welcome Center at Thomas Jefferson Gardens is this coming Monday, otherwise the goal for online submissions is by the end of this weekend. He adds that they are planning to have the cookbooks ready to be sold during this year’s Bell Tower Festival. He says the proceeds from the cookbooks will go back to their organization for more programs and projects. Click here to submit a recipe online.
