One cruise ship (well, technically two cruise ships), 18 days, two countries, endless food and drinks and no shortage of laughter, or wine.
It’s certainly no secret that the team at Oliver’s Taranga like to take things to the next level. Would some say they may be over the top? Absoluetly, and they embrace it like the champs they are.
The McLaren Vale winery is setting sail on an 18-day European river cruise in August 2027 hosted by their very own winemaker Corrina Wright. It will be a sun-soaked journey through Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Porto and Lisbon that blends serious wine credentials with no lack of fun.
“We really wanted to offer our amazing customers something extra special, that combined our love of wine with travel,” Corrina says. “When the team from Cruising and Wine Tours got in touch it was pretty much a no brainer.”
Not only will you get to enjoy the day trips and the decadence of the UniWorld cruise, as an OTT guest you’ll join Corrina for an exclusive excursion, two extravagant wine masterclasses, one private wine excursion, plus your own cheeky bottle of their iconic 2021 M53 Shiraz.
The itinerary reads like an album of the greatest hits of European wine regions. Guests will explore Bordeaux’s grand châteaux and base themselves in Libourne before wandering the cobblestone streets of Saint-Émilion, from there, it’s on to Porto and Lisbon, with a flight between France and Portugal included.

The Southern European climates and historical towns of Bordeaux and Portugal are as exciting as their palettes, expect bold reds and excellent dessert wines, from Sauternes to Port.
“Adelaide is part of the Great Wine Capitals of the world and this itinerary visits two others, Bordeaux and Porto,” Corrina says. “What a great opportunity to have an adventure to such beautiful and different wine regions.”
“And have someone to ask all those burning questions you are too embarrassed to ask the French!”
Onboard life leans into indulgence, and why wouldn’t it be? This is a six star cruise, after all.
Enjoy 17 breakfasts, ten lunches and 14 dinners, welcome and farewell receptions, unlimited beverages, 13 days of guided excursions and onboard cultural entertainment. Accommodation spans seven nights on the S.S. Bon Voyage, seven on the S.S. São Gabriel and three nights at Lisbon’s Tivoli Avenida Liberdade.
Don’t worry if you aren’t a wine nerd, there are plenty of other experiences to partake in, like as cycling tours and historic site visits.

“There’ll be plenty of laughs, with some sneaky learning as well,” Corrina says. “So excited to be sharing such a bucket list experience with our incredible guests, all in six-star luxury.”
This is your offical cue to hunt down the passport and check the expiry date, because tickets are seriously limited. Packages start at $22,899 per person and bookings must be made through the dedicated travel agent, David Hull.
