A LONG-running Mexican favorite is shutting down for good, and loyal customers are being urged to make one last stop before the lights go out.
The owners framed the move as the “end of an era” as they confirmed a final day of service is now set.

Tito’s Burritos & Wings in North Jersey, confirmed it is closing all remaining locations on March 1.
In a Facebook post, the chain wrote, “End of an era. Mahalo to all of our amazing customers for the good times, meals, and community over the years. Stop in before March 1 to share memories and get your last great Tito’s meal ever”.
Tito’s will be closing after serving hungry diners for 21 years.
The chain currently has three locations – Summit, Ridgewood, and South Orange.

Its menu includes Mexican staples like burritos and tacos, plus wings and chicken strips.
The owners announced the decision in a message shared with customers.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of this journey — whether you came to know Tito’s recently or have been with us since the beginning in May of 2005 — your support, stories, celebrations, and countless shared meals have meant more to us than we can ever fully express,” the message read.
The note also thanked the community built around the restaurants.
A reason for the shutdown of the company has not been given, but it has not been listed as a bankruptcy case.
In recent years, other Mexican and Tex-Mex chains have gone through major upheaval involving bankruptcy filings and restructurings.
This includes Abuelo’s which was once dubbed the country’s best Mexican restaurant.
It is now down to just 16 locations after falling victim to economic pressures and being forced to lose almost 25 restaurants.
The Mexican chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September and closed restaurants in cities including Plano, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Abuelo’s still operates 16 spots across eight US states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
