I’ve wanted a smoker for a couple years now and yesterday finally got one! Got the traeger pro 22. Wife did not want the bigger one. Lol

Also stopped at Costco for a brisket. Started last night around 23:00, at about 09:00 I wrapped it in butcher paper and jacked up the heat to 250 for another 6-8 hours or so. Voila! My first ever brisket! Just salt and coarse black pepper. Wife thinks it needed more salt but me and the kids were super happy with it and now we have lunch and dinner for days!

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

That’s a beautiful hunk of beef! The bark and smoke ring both are inspiring me to throw a brisket on next weekend.

  3. That looks super dry. But as long as you all enjoyed it…all that matters.
