I do not see anything that requires saving, fill it with charcoal and burn for about an hour or so at 600 plus and then brush/vac out the ashes the next day and move on with your life. It just needs a good burn out. small edit cant tell from photo for sure but looks like just deflector plates but remove any aluminum parts like slow roller ect before burn off.

Save what? You haven’t put any meat on yet.
That BBQ is cleaner than mine. Get cooking.

The only possible issue might be the gap in the seal?

Yes with some high heat new gasket and some scrubbing on the grate. Really easily salvageable

New gasket and a high temp burn

I don’t see what’s wrong here.

Scorch earth and start cooking. If it’s been sitting that long you may find as you heat it up and start cooking some of the grates break. Easily bought on amazon.

But an entire bag of cheap Walmart char wood and cook it at 600+ until the charcoal is gone, (make sure your plates are in there)
It will all be white a clean afterwards. Take out the firebox and clean off everything and set it all back up.
You will need new gaskets, get these upgraded ones it has top bottom.
Save from what? It’s a kamado grill… as long as nobody used some stupid stuff like liquid fire starters and shit – it’s made to last for a very very long time
