The team behind the Pelican and Canteen in London’s Notting Hill are to launch Italian restaurant CeCe’s.

Opening on 4 March, the latest Public House Group restaurant on Clarendon Road in Notting Hill will serve Italian dishes with “a hint of Hollywood”, such as aubergine parmigiana, bream carpaccio with caviar, fonduta agnolotti and chicken vignole.

The predominantly Italian wine list will also nod to Burgundy, Bordeaux and the United States.

The restaurant is spread across two floors, featuring soft fabrics, glossy finishes and low-level lighting.

The launch of CeCe’s follows that of Italian-inspired restaurant Canteen in October 2024, which opened with an ex-River Café chef at the helm. It received a Michelin Bib Gourmand at the 2026 awards.

Public House Group also opened the Hart in London’s Marylebone late last year.

Co-founder James Gummer said: “Initially we looked at the space as it was once a pub, but we fell in love with the glamour and unique design. The surreal interiors and character hidden behind the copper door inspired us to create a restaurant that felt both current and exciting, whilst retaining the allure of traditional hospitality.

“We want CeCe’s to feel glamorous and fun. Somewhere our guests can come to escape the day to day and transport them to a different place and time.”

Gummer, Phil Winser and Richard Squire launched the Pelican gastropub in Notting Hill in 2022, which was followed by the Bull in Charlbury in the Cotswolds, the Hero in Maida Vale, the Fat Badger, Canteen and the Hart.
