As funny as it may seem, sprinkles are a pantry staple in my family. My mom calls them “jimmies,” while the rest of the family insists on calling them “sprinkles.” The baking decor finds its way into all our cakes and desserts—and my grandma even used to add a dash of dinosaur-shaped sprinkles to my yogurt to entice me to finish it as a kid.

Regardless of what you call them, the tiny decorative candy pieces are a great way to add a little flair to your sweet treats. And now there’s a new line of sprinkles by two iconic brands, and it’s totally unexpected.

Smuckers and Jif Release Flavored Sprinkles

While Smuckers and Jif are most well known for their peanut butter and jelly products, the two brands are venturing into the baking aisle with this new drop. Each brand is launching two flavors of sprinkles, inspired by their most popular products.

The Jif Peanut Butter sprinkles have a mix of peanut butter-flavored sprinkle pieces and tiny peanut butter chips. Meanwhile, the Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate flavor boasts chocolate and peanut butter sprinkles, along with peanut butter and chocolate chips.

For Smucker’s, there are Smucker’s Strawberry Sprinkles, which feature red and white sprinkles that taste just like the sweet, berry-flavored jam, and Smucker’s Grape Sprinkles, complete with purple and white sprinkles that give my childhood favorite grape jelly a second life.

The Walmart-exclusive products will be sold in 2.8-ounce jars that look just like their prospective peanut butter and jelly jars. And each one will cost about $3.48, although exact prices may vary.

In a recent Instagram post by user @foodiewiththebeasts, fans were quick to express their excitement about the unexpected baking products, with some frantically searching for the new offerings. “I’m desperately trying to find these! I’m obsessed with sprinkles!” wrote one commenter. Another said, “My breath is bated, can’t wait to see these in store!”

Others shared ideas for how to use them in everything from cakes—”Ummmmmm, these are a NEED! Imagine the cake pop possibilities!”—to sandwiches: “Ooh, I’m gonna make the BEST sprinkle sammich anyone’s ever seen!”

Personally, I’m planning to whip up a delicious PB&J-inspired ice cream sundae that my inner child has always dreamed of. The baking find could also be perfect for decorating cookies and muffins, or even as a garnish for lattes and smoothies.

Make sure to keep an eye out for the new find, because they’re sure to sell out quickly.
