Took my time developing my black icing because I had problems in the past with oversaturation and bleeding. But after it dried it faded to a dark gray. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Thanks in advance!

    What is your drying process like? Also, did you add more confectioners sugar to the icing after color prepping? That can change darker colors a bit by lightening a tad bit. It can make them almost chalky looking depending on how much you used.
