Since leaving France for the United States, Johann Tremor was on a quest to find a specific taste. That taste only comes with authentic French ingredients, so he has one option.
Import the ingredients and make the bread and pastries himself. That’s what he’s done, and you can have a taste as well at Oui Oui Boulangerie on East Main Street on the Southside.
Johann launched with a soft opening, they were open from 7:00am to 1:00pm, but sold out of bread by 9:00am each day of the opening week.
He’s making more bread but understands this is a quality thing and not a production machine, so expect the taste to never be compromised.
His unique storefront has more than the bread; his wife, who runs operations, also creates and sells vintage clothing. There’s French soaps and whatnot, along with a coffee from Miami. It’s from the coffee shop his wife worked at when in Miami, shortly after Johann moved from France.
They also host a monthly dinner and monthly French movie showings. Find more at their website.
