Monday nights are for quick dinners! Here is how I made it! Ingredients • 1 lb lo mein noodles • 1 crown broccoli, chopped • 2 carrots, sliced • 1/4 cup avocado oil, divided • 1 lb chicken, thinly sliced • 2 tablespoons cornstarch • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1/2 teaspoon pepper • 1 teaspoon paprika • 5 garlic cloves, chopped • 1 tablespoon ginger paste • 3/4 cup soy sauce • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil • 1/2 cup honey • 1/2 cup water • Green onions and sesame seeds (optional) Instructions Cook noodles according to package directions. Heat 2 tbs of oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook broccoli and carrots for about 5 minutes until slightly softened. Remove and set aside. Toss chicken with cornstarch and seasonings. Add remaining oil to the skillet and cook chicken over high heat until browned and cooked through. Stir together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and water, then pour into the skillet and simmer. Add noodles and vegetables back in and toss to coat. Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

  1. Survey question for the people in the comments:

How long does it usually take you to make dinner from gathering the ingredients to dinner on the plate?

It seems to take me 2 hours almost every time. I swear it didn’t used to take that long.

  2. quick……chicken square chunks/tyson precut precooked frozen, brocolli, alfredo sauce, nuke chicken in a microwave until heated then mix into the broccoli and pour alfredo sauce over it then warm up to taste and serve….less than 4-5 minutes…..

  3. I always look to be sure it is Karissa's name and not Brandon's. I don't want him to benefit from her reel.

  4. Looks good! If you have them, I recommend adding to the sauce with equal parts oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and Shaoxing wine. Although if you have nothing else, add the oyster sauce for sure, it will help the most in getting that restaurant-level taste in the dish.

  5. My "quick and easy" is a 9 x 13 pan.
To the center add raw chicken breasts.
To the left add small or roughly diced potatoes.
To the right add baby carrots. (Or replace 1 of the 2 veggies with green beans or such.)
Sprinkle with a pack of Italian seasoning (I usually use zesty but either is ok.)
Divide a stick of butter into 9 or 12 pieces and put it evenly on top of it all.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 for an hour. (Or until chicken is done, but an hour generally works unless you use a LOT of chicken breasts!)
I almost never had any leftovers!

  6. I live and die by that gourmet garden brand paste. The garlic, ginger, and basil are all excellent and are perfect for cooking or as spreads on anything. When Big Y has them on sale I buy 5 or 6 of each 😂
