Ahwatukee pizzeria gives free pizza to Little Leaguers who hit home runs

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Ahwatukee pizzeria is stepping up and doing Something Good for Valley Little Leaguers.

Nello’s Pizzeria and Italian Kitchen has brought back its Home Run Pizza program for another year, which gives Ahwatukee Little Leaguers who hit a home run a free 8-inch, two-topping pizza.

The co-owners of Nello’s said they enjoy cheering on young athletes, noting that community is at the heart of what the restaurant does. Nello’s has been in operation for more than three decades.

Nello’s is encouraging players, families and fans to stop in, celebrate the season and enjoy a meal together.
