This dining reporter has a new home! After a few years in Golden Gate, I recently relocated to East Naples, which opened up an entirely new culinary world. Every neighborhood in Naples and Collier has a unique restaurant scene from ritzy downtown date night spots to casual cultural spots in Golden Gate. I’m excited to explore my new neighborhood’s dining options and already have my eye on a few places.
There’s a few spots I’ve already tried and enjoyed, like Cheesesteaks.com, Bayshore Bodega, and Wolfmoon, but I’m always on the hunt for new places.
Here’s five East Naples and Bayshore restaurants I’d like to check off of my dining passport over the next couple months. If you’ve visited these spots or have other recommendations, shoot me an email. The best way to reach me is Kendall.Little@NaplesNews.com.
Seventh South Waterfront
Seventh South Waterfront is a restaurant I’ve heard great things about, but haven’t had a chance to check out yet. Last year, the restaurant relocated from Seventh Avenue South to Bayview Drive on Haldeman Creek across from the Celebration Park food truck park. Its new cozy venue aligns with its mission to deliver genuine hospitality through craft kitchen and bar collaboration.
What I want to try: Korean fried chicken sandwich ($18), sticky miso short ribs ($43), apple & endive salad ($17), chocolate torte ($15), and raspberry sorbet mini mochi cakes ($12).

Paella’s Mediterranean Fusion
This Mediterranean spot caught my eye back in September during Sizzle Dining season. The restaurant has raving reviews, averaging a 4.8 star rating. Reviewers say Paella’s has delicious food, wonderful service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I’m a sucker for a prix fixe menu, and Paella’s seems to always have one available.
What I want to try: Lobster bisque ($9), Genevieve’s lamb shank ($23), chicken rigatoni ($19), spicy honey teriyaki chicken wings ($13), and coconut bread pudding ($9).

Bistro La Baguette
French cuisine is a type I’m not very familiar with, but I’ve always been interested in. Bistro La Baguette showcases the warm French charm that I’m looking for. Popular menu items include several croissants and danishes, plus authentic French dishes like goose liver terrine, beef bourguignon, and frog legs.
What I want to try: French onion soup ($12.50), croque madame sandwich made with white Parisian ham, Swiss cheese & bechamel sauce, and a sunny side up egg ($18.50), beef bourguignon ($38.95), Nutella croissant ($4.50), creme brulee ($9.95), and French macarons ($10.95)

LuLu’s Kitchen
A friend of mine dines at LuLu’s Kitchen most weekends and I’ve been itching to try it. The brunch spot supports local charity St. Matthew’s House, which aims to reduce hunger, homelessness, and addiction in Southwest Florida. Reviews praise the breakfast options and say the restaurant is stunning inside.
What I want to try: corn flake French toast ($9.95), Mediterranean omelet ($12), Florentine Benedict ($15), Nashville hot honey chicken sandwich ($16.95), turkey pesto avocado wrap ($16.95), fried ice cream ($6.99), and affogato & zeppole combo ($8.99)

Fogg Cafe
Fogg Cafe is inside the visitor center at the Naples Botanical Garden, allowing guests to enjoy seasonal fresh menu items with a gorgeous view. I’d love to start a Saturday morning at Fogg Cafe before spending some time at the Garden.
What I want to try: Buffalo cauliflower ($12), Fuji apple walnut salad ($17), mango chicken salad ($19), hand-cut fries ($11), banana bread ($10), and Belgian waffles ($17)
