Welcome to my kitchen! It’s the 3rd day of Ramadan, and I’m preparing a very special Iftar. Today, I’m making a Moroccan Style Meatball Tagine. I’m using my frozen meatballs and chickpeas to save time, but the result is going to be gourmet!

​Sauté onions and garlic in a shallow pot.
​Layer sliced carrots and potatoes
​Add frozen chickpeas and meatballs on top.
​tomato paste + spices+ water
​Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes with the lid closed.
​Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

This dish gets its name from the pot it’s cooked in. This traditional clay pot is called a Tagine, and that’s why the meal is named Tagine as well!
