First time every having Dave's. Bought different sliders and chicken, it was amazing! Will be going back

Staff warned me one chicken chunk of the reaper sent them home for the day. So I was nervous to try it. For reference my heat tolerance is able to slam back buffalo wild wings blazing easily. I grew up eating spicy.

The heat was just a bit slow, made me feel very hot, it literally made tears run down my face. While eating and staff watching I was able to maintain being conversational explaining the pain and process. I ate the whole thing with a few water sips and litle sauce.

It might be the hottest or tied for hottest thing I've tried like the peppers, ghost, reaper, ect. My stomach feels mildly off but not hateful several hours later.

Overall 10/10 food and staff. Was incredibly excited to have hot food at a restaurant actually be hot. Im going to do it again with a buddy, no water sips this time. Might make a self imposed challenge for fun, 2 strips no water for 3 to 5 minutes after? Idk

Let me know where you’re burying your toilet, I’d like to send flowers.

The single slice of white bread is what is confusing me the most about this.

Is this really what they serve? Or am I missing something?

OP we are somewhat impressed with your brag post, but am I the only one who misses when chains would offer actual rewards for spice challenges?

I haven’t had Dave’s. How does it compare to Hattie B’s hottest?

How’s the actual chicken? Always happy to have the heat and flavor of the sauce/rub, but the chicken quality matters as well.

Well, there isn’t a Dave’s hot chicken w/in 25 mins so I haven’t bothered. The post almost makes me want to go to Dave’s and eat reaper and be done. On the other hand, I can pass on deep fried and cook-chicken at home and add sauces quite hot.

How was the taste? When I tried one it was very very hot, enough that I had to take breaks, but it seemed like it was that way because it was caked in seasoning. That made the chicken taste really bitter and nasty. I was kinda regretting that I had used most of the sauce dipping the french fries, just because I needed something better tasting with it. I’m thinking that different locations prepare it differently.

Sounds good, I like a slow burn. Never been a fan of like fresh peppers because it’s like a flash bang, out of my comfort zone. But a slow and intense heat, I can handle. I’m not sure why, it’s like if I get the heads up, I’m fine

Mine wasn’t that bad when I ate it. But it gave me heinous shits for 3 days after.

Mods, if you’re there and actually do exist and aren’t just ai bots, can we please just get a Dave’s mega thread like most other subs do for this content, for the love of god.

I’d like to try it but they are crazy expensive. $23 plus tax for 2 tenders and fries. They can fuck right off with that price.
