Coming to the former home of Joe Fortes’ Whistler outpost is a new Italian restaurant called Trattoria Di Como.
On the menu, you’ll find a variety of upscale Italian fare, including a selection of pasta like Risotto alla Como (tiger prawns, diver sacllops, saffron threads, and chive butter), Linguine al Pesto (basil, garlic grana padano, and roasted pine nuts), and Pappardelle Ragu di Carne (braised veal, wild mushrooms, arugla, and cream).
Additionally, you’ll find a selection of proteins, including a Fish of the Day, Roasted Spring Rack of Lamb (fresh herb crust and bean cassoulet), and 38 oz Porterhouse Fiorentina (sliced off the bone with rosemary jus, arugula, and parmesan).
According to its website, the restaurant will be split into different sections, including the Loggia (main dining room featuring Italian decor), Fireplace Room (a semi-private space with views into Trattoria Di Como’s open kitchen), Library (fully private dining room with a personalized menus and wine experiences), and The Garden (an al fresco dining experience at its poolside garden).

Additionally, in the future, it will launch an intimate lounge called The Club and the Club Terrace, which will offer views of the village and the alpine garden.
The new restaurant is expected to open its doors on Wednesday, March 11.
