San Angelo’s Joe’s Italian Restaurant has been recognized by America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow.

Located at 1601 S. Bryant Blvd., Joe’s has been in business in San Angelo for more than 20 years, beginning in 2005. “It means a lot to me, and just being a part of my life and my business,” owner and executive chef Naim Agaj said. “I’m really excited, because it’s gonna show all my hard work and the hard work we’ve been doing. It’s gonna just, you know, be all over, and we’re just excited to see.”

There are three ways for restaurants to be featured on the ABR Roadshow: a restaurant can be nominated by anyone through a QR code found either on the vans driven by the ABR crew or online, a restaurant owner can reach out to the show, or ABR will reach out to specific restaurants they believe fit within their market. “We only showcase local restaurants. Like, you’re not gonna see the big chains,” show host J Russell said. “It’s just, like, Joe’s, as soon as I said that to one of my friends, who worked at KSAN, he’s like, ‘Yeah, Joe’s is amazing.’ So I was like, okay, this is a place we need to go to.”

ABR filmed at Joe’s in February and stated that Joe’s episode of the show will be available in May. “We try to promote everything toward their Facebook page, so it normally takes three months from the date that we actually shoot the show. Then, you could watch it on their Facebook page, and we have it on our YouTube page as well,” Russell said.
