I like my chicken chopped. I think your recipe sounds wonderful… We used to call that "Fancy Chicken Salad." It was the kind that you would serve at parties or teas or something. I LOVE it, but I also like it simple with boiled egg, onions, pickle, mayo and salt/pepper.
It looks delicious!! Mine, I toast my sliced almond before I add them. I will try your recipe for sure. There are a lot of versions-yours is special. Yum yum!

My wife makes a really delicious chicken salad using apples (cubed), sliced purple grapes, toasted pecans, cubed chicken, and Duke’s Mayonnaise. God bless you and thank you for sharing. I am plain Jane, I just put sweet relish, and mayo and put it on honey wheat bread with cheese your choice of cheese and spinach and tomatoes. 👍😁. Everyone has their own ingredients and taste . This looks delicious and no doubt everyones chicken salad will look good 👍😁💖
A much deserved name. It means the sky is the limit for what you can put in it. Must try it your way, minus miracle whip and ranch. I add dried cranberries and pecans to mine. I to like to use baked chicken. Must have been typing my comment because I didn't hear you add Italian dressing. Wow. Were you craving the taste of each food you added? I guess mine would be considered plain but we rest our chicken salad on bread just chicken, I use green onion a little sweet relish asking with mustard and I use kraft mayonnaise. Now if I ate it with just crackers I might do it your way but without the almonds, only Kraft I don’t like sweet mayo.
I'm in Michigan and of course i have to have cherries. So I use dried cherries in mine along with slivered almonds, onion, celery, and some hard boiled egg. Always mayo. Salt, pepper, dash of onion powder. I sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning on before I top it with the other half of the croissant. Always on croissant. I like my chicken shredded, and I cheat and use rotisserie chicken from Costco😉

Mayonnaise, salt, pepper, celery, onion..I might add celery powder or onion powder…Southern cook here too.

I make mine with chicken, red grapes, celery, pecans, apples, bacon & black olives. Its sooooo good!
I also prefer seasoned baked chicken too, with celery, onion, sweet pickle relish, and, mayo or Miracle Whip.#MyPlainJaneChickenSalad😄
I think sweet relish, along with sweet apples and raisins, would be too much sweet for me.
