Gonna make yeast ones next! Which do you prefer?? I feel like there’s so much controversy on cakey vs fluffy donuts idk 😭

    Sour cream donuts are my weakness. I love the ones from dunkin’ donuts, but they’re hard to find in my area. These look awesome.

    These were my favorite style of donuts growing up. Most shops in the area used to sell them unglazed, often with a light dusting of powdered sugar, but often plain.

    They’re better that way, IMO. But it’s hard to find a place that sells them like that anymore. It seems like since Krispy Kreme came around, all the donut shops have gone all-in on glaze, which is unfortunate.

    my FAVORITE!!! everyone ik cringes at the mention of sour cream in them but they just don’t get it…

    Oh these look lovely. I’ve never been brave enough to try making donuts at home because the deep frying absolutely terrifies me, but sour cream ones are my favourite from the bakery and yours look just like the proper ones. Might have to finally give it a go

    Old fashioned donuts have the benefit of being able to be dipped in coffee, but that’s not to say yeasted donuts aren’t great.
