This was the wine recommend as “is cheap; taste expensive”
4.7/5.0 –
Over all very good wine – notes of raspberry and clay.
Definitely punches above its weight, best wine I’ve had for this price.

Good to hear, I picked up a bottle a couple weeks ago. Looking forward to trying it.

Yep. 100% Syrah and punches way above its weight

I had it for the first time a week or two before that matrix and had a similar impression. One of the best wines I’ve had at under $20 AND my grocery store stocks it!
It’s 100% Syrah and reminds me why a syrah is what first got me into wine.
100% will buy again (and again)

Bought a few bottles too!

st cosme is seriously one of the best kept secrets in the under $15 range imo. that clay note you mentioned is spot on, i always get a bit of an earthy almost iron-y thing going on too. if you like this one their gigondas is another level entirely, bit pricier but the step up in complexity is wild. southern rhone syrah in general is just so underrated compared to what people pay for similar quality from elsewhere

Just had this tonight for the first time. Won’t be my last!

Good stuff. Definitely off the beaten path for CdR being all Syrah.

Nah this tastes like cheap table red

Saint Cosme makes some good stuff. I believe their cotes du rhone is 100% syrah, too, which is great.
I’ve had their Vinsobres in the past and adored it.

Wonderful qbr esp when sold at Costco. Great 🍷

Saint Cosme all the way!

Idk what you guys are tasting. This is the most atrocious wine I’ve ever tasted. Erase this from your memories.
Manbearjosh
This is my favorite inexpensive wine. As others have noted, it’s way more value for your dollar.

Can anyone report on the quality of the 2024 vintage compared to an average vintage? 2024 from what I hear was a tricky (to say the least) vintage across France?

Try his Gigondas offering. His claim to fame and insanely good – if you are into the Southern Rhone style.

Yes, a very nice CdR at a decent price.
