If you love dump cakes, this one is going to make you very happy.

We took a classic cherry dump cake and fancied it up just a little by adding a creamy cheesecake layer. It’s still just as easy — no complicated steps — but the cream cheese makes it taste like cherry cheesecake and dump cake had the best dessert baby ever.

Warm out of the oven it’s gooey and cozy… but I’ll be honest, I might like it even better chilled the next day straight from the fridge.

Either way, it disappears fast.

🍒 Cherry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cans cherry pie filling (I only had 1½ and it still worked great)
• 2 blocks (16 oz) cream cheese, softened
• 2 eggs
• ½ cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 1½ sticks butter, sliced

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F.

2️⃣ Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.

3️⃣ In a bowl, mix together:
• cream cheese
• eggs
• sugar
• vanilla

Beat until smooth to create the cheesecake layer.

4️⃣ Spoon and gently spread the cream cheese mixture over the cherries.

5️⃣ Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top.

6️⃣ Slice the butter and place pieces evenly across the surface.

7️⃣ Bake for about 55 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.

8️⃣ Let cool about 10 minutes before serving.

Serving Tip

This dessert is amazing warm, but the leftovers chilled in the fridge might be even better. Both versions are delicious — just depends if you have the patience to wait.
