A sun-drenched Mediterranean restaurant is helping to stir up excitement about one of the DFW’s most anticipated projects. Aba, already a hit in three other markets, is making its Dallas debut in The Seam, a new Design District mixed-use development.

Aba will be bringing a delightful mix of indoor and outdoor dining to its new 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue home. The concept from the revered Lettuce Entertain You hospitality group will be opening late this year, though a more specific timeline is not yet available.

Aba’s impending arrival has inspired a great deal of excitement in the DFW dining scene. A press release provided to What Now Dallas offers considerable insight into the roots of this enthusiasm, beginning with the cuisine. Aba will be serving a menu curated by Chef and Partner CJ Jacobson that filters modern Mediterranean fare through a California lens. Visitors will be able to enjoy hummus, kebabs, hot and cold mezze selections, and seasonal desserts.

Future fans will be able to enjoy their meals in a unique and welcoming environment, described as featuring a “signature green landscape including large-scale Mediterranean olive trees, climbing ivy and a local collection of potted plants and trees. Moroccan-style lanterns, vintage glass chandeliers and rich tones of leather, stone and mosaic tiles fill the space. The restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor dining rooms and bars, ideal for private events.”

The Seam location will be Aba’s fourth home. Executive Partner and Divisional President of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants Marc Jacobs explains that the hospitality group is enthusiastic about furthering its DFW presence, saying: “We’ve been humbled by the positive response from our guests in Austin, and we are excited to expand into the Dallas market. We look forward to bringing our warm hospitality, California-inspired mezze-style menu and energetic ambiance, transporting guests to a vacation in the Mediterranean.”
