I'm not too worried about handling mouth pain, I'm just very nervous about the carnage it'll do inside me. Planning on preloading my gut beforehand to try and reduce the burn as much as possible. My curiosity just can't let me not eat it.

Good luck! I’ve heard the gut pain for some people is pretty bad, I’m sure yogurt or something like that might help.
It was quite entertaining, I got one in a family while elephant Christmas exchange and ended up eating it in front of everybody. Lots of tears, snot, and hiccups! I ate normally that day and suffered no ill effects once the pain subsided.
I also made the mistake of chewing it *thoroughly.*
I feel like it can’t be that bad right?? I’ve wanted to try for ages but I am not spending upwards of 15 dollars on one single gummy bear. I just can’t justify it
Don’t touch your eyes. Ask me how I know…
Good luck. I don’t trust any of the tiktokers that do those with no reaction. You can easily make a silicone mold and duplicate a no heat version
UPDATE:
The bear is dead. Is was no worse than some of my pepper overloads I’ve done to myself over the years. I’d argue it was more bearable in a way since the heat is very consistent, rather than popping some raw Reaper in that feels mote aggressive right off the bat.
Now 10 minutes in with no relief. Mostly just runny nose and a very sweaty face. Tiny amount of spicy high and twitchy face muscles. Tongue still burning a fair amount, but it’s fully bearable.
Guess we’ll see how the gut takes it. Worst part is the bear was so tough and chewy. My plan to mush it to nothing was very difficult, so I was chewing on it for over a minute.
So far, entertaining novelty for my coworkers to sit and laugh at.
