Overnight fire breaks out at Greek restaurant in Kent

Firefighters with Puget Sound Fire extinguished a fire that broke out overnight Tuesday within a Kent restaurant.

Firefighters were first called to the fire just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, working until 3:40 a.m. to put out the flames. The fire happened at the restaurant Ishtar Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine, located on the 400 block of Central Avenue S. in Kent.

This morning, just after 2:00 am, Puget Sound Fire responded to a commercial fire in the 400 block of Central Avenue South. Firefighters arrived and found flames coming from the single story restaurant. pic.twitter.com/ePjPBlud10

There were no reported injuries to firefighters, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
