I would pass just based on the visible rust. Everything is fixable tho, you can order replacement parts from Traeger. Looks like a LOT of work. You can find bargains on FBM or Craigslist.

Upgraded controller is a hundred, fan and motor 20. How much for the smoker? Does the auger turn or is it blown out??

If free, maybe. You can buy a kit that will replace all the major parts.
I have a really old one that looks like this. I’ve replaced the fire box, the hot rod 2x, and the fan motor. Still going strong.
