This is probably a stupid question but i'm extremely new to making my own food and I was wondering what kind of bread is used in this picture.

The kind that fell off a truck only to be run over by said truck, apparently. (Sorry! 😁)

This question in the UK causes very heated debates. It could be a roll, bap, oven bottom, barm, teacake, bun, muffin…
    I’m a bap kinda gal.

Where was that sandwich made? If in the Caribbean,NYC,Florida it could be Pan Sobao or Pan di Agua

Looks like some stale/dried out American style bread that’s then been smushed. Like some kind of hoagie roll that sat under a heat lamp for 3 hours before someone sat on it..

That’s a really bad, dry morning roll. At a guess I’d say it’s been frozen then defrosted.

Looks like a French loaf vs sub or sandwich roll.

In Louisiana, it would be Leidenheimer French brea

Is it on the west coast of the US? If so, Dutch crunch!

My guess is an hot dog bun that has been previously frozen

Where did you get the sandwich? That would be a good place to start. Then you could go on their website, lookup their menu/ ingredient lists. Just a thought

Looks like a French or Italian loaf. But,instead of splitting the loaf with a knife, someone decided to rip it apart.

Looks like a hamburger bun if you’re in the US
