Was waiting since January for the Mazzer Mini G to arrive in the UK but so worth the wait for the colour match.

Machine: LM LM

Grinder: Mazzer Mini G GBW

Mod: Tate Mazer shot mod

Scales: Bookoo Themis Ultra scales

La Marzocco has been fantastic over the past 6 months then recently added the Tate Mazzer Shot Stopper which was great for workflow, pairing with the bookoo scales.

Now getting used to the Mazzer Mini G which is my first “proper” grinder. Again the workflow is now very much optimised. Unfortunately it came with the cafe 600g hopper but I have the domestic hopper on its way. Then it will fit on its usual counter space, although I do like it being proud on the kitchen island.

Retention hasn’t been too much of an issue so far. Luckily my partner drinks iced coffee so I always just make that first thing then my espresso second.

Happy to answer any questions about the setup.

Have you used another scale grinder before? How does this compare for you? Great looking machine

This is the exact setup I am planning to purchase

Initially I wanted Mahlkonig E64 WS but I heard so many poor things about it

Why is the Mazzer naming scheme so confusing

Is there a different Mini G with a smaller hopper

  6. How many coffees do you make a day? I really want a GBW grinder for the workflow but on weekdays I only make one espresso before work and retention seems to be an issue on e64w, allground sense and the mini g so perhaps it’s not worth it…
