Under the name “wine Mainz”, four wine fairs have joined forces for the first time this year. From April 25 to 27, 2026, the VDP Wine Exchange, the VinVin trade fair for origin wines from Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen and Weinland Nahe, the Biodynamic Wine Fair, and the sparkling wine exchange of the Traditional Sparkling Wine Makers will open in Mainz. They are closely coordinated in terms of timing and organization and cover topics from origin and terroir to biodynamic viticulture and traditionally bottle-fermented sparkling wine.
This will position Mainz more strongly as a central meeting point for the German trade fair scene around wine: Wine Mainz is set to become, according to the organizers, “a must-attend event for wine professionals from around the world” as well as “a leading trade fair location for German wine”.
On Saturday, April 25, two events will be held at the Alte Postlager: the VinVin trade fair and the Biodynamic Wine Fair. At the same time, the Association of Traditional Sparkling Wine Makers invites you to the sparkling wine exchange at the Electoral Palace. On Sunday and Monday (April 26 and 27), the 52nd VDP Wine Exchange will take place in the Rheingoldhalle, where the VDP wineries will present their current wines to the trade audience.
The temporal bundling of the four events is intended to enable trade visitors from Germany and abroad to attend multiple formats over one weekend. Additionally, individual winery visits in the surrounding growing areas are planned, supported by the participating associations. On Saturday evening, a joint evening event with wine, music, and street food is planned at the Alte Postlager. In addition to the private customer event “Partners in Wine”, there will be a separate guest area for participants of the four trade events. Registration with the respective event is required.
