WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Let’s take a look at what’s happening around the North Country this weekend.

The North Country Chili Cook-Off will be held Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dulles State Office Building. Amateur and professional chefs will compete for prizes, with an opening ceremony at noon. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children 12 and younger. All proceeds benefit the Volunteer Transportation Center.

The North Country Goes Green Irish Festival runs Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, at Cerow Recreation Park Arena in Clayton. Friday hours are 4 p.m. to midnight. Saturday hours are 11 a.m. to midnight. The festival features a Donegal Beard Contest, Shamrock Run, parade, cornhole tournament, and live music, food, and drink. Advance tickets are $5 online or $6 at the door. The event is cash only.

The Autism Acceptance Walk will be held Saturday, March 14, beginning with registration at 9 a.m. at SUNY Canton’s Roos House. The free, family event supports the Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence Foundation and features games and a photo booth. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best flower power attire for a costume contest.

Battle of the Badges will be held Saturday, March 14, at the JCC Gym. Doors open at 5 p.m., and fights begin at 6 p.m. Firefighters, police officers, and EMTs will compete in the boxing ring for charity. The event is hosted by the Watertown Area Boxing Club. Tickets are $20.
