Did I sow these seeds to densely? If so, would anyone suggest pruning out some of these seedlings now?

  1. You will only be able to keep one plant per soil block. I usually wait until I get my first true lead before choosing.

Make sure to cut not pluck, it disturbs the roots less

  2. Washedurhairlately

Or… you can plant twins, triplets, quads.

This pair of Purple Reapers were stunted a 9’ in height. I also grew triplets of Purple Gator Jigsaw. All three were over seven feet tall and highly productive with very large pods. Unfortunately, all three PGJ were off pheno, but can’t have it all. The catch? You’re going to need a bigger pot/grow bag/raised bed space. You can also separate twins in a germination cell to grow them separately. Seedlings are remarkably tough except for cold. So far all the Chinense I’ve grown are complete wimps when it comes to chilly weather.
