For example, TikTok health blogger toprecipes.1 claims a “powerful combination” of simple foods can work to speed up the process of weight loss. It claims chia seeds and flax seeds can work to rid belly fat when mixed together.
To make the recipe, start by adding two tablespoons of flax seeds and two tablespoons of chia seeds in a container. The ingredients are said to be “ideal” for controlling appetite, as they work to fill you up.

Next, you need to squeeze half a lemon over the mixture, and add 150ml of almond milk. Then mix everything well to combine the ingredients together.
Cover the container and let it settle for around three hours. This should allow it to thicken before you pop it in the blender, but make sure you add another 50ml of almond milk before blending.
If you consume two tablespoons of the mixture before bed it’s said to help you lose belly fat. Since the recipe was shared, it’s fair to say people have been keen to give it a whirl.
One person said: “I’ve tried it without the lemon, but it still works for me.” Another wrote: “I will try, thank you.”
Meanwhile, another queried: “Can’t drink milk or almond milk. What can I replace it with?” The creator responded with this by claiming you could use water and honey to replace the ingredient.
While it sounds like a simple method to try out, you may be wondering if the recipe can really work. Well, it turns out, both flax seeds and chia seeds boast a number of health boosting qualities.
Though you do need to follow a balanced diet, and partake in regular exercise to aid weight loss, it’s thought the simple ingredients may be able to help in some way.
