Expiration date is 26th February. There is no weird smell and it looks fine to me. Looks a little dry in the pictures since I just patted it.
Trichinella is not a worry in my area but I'm still slightly worried. Do you think it's fine?

I can feel how slimy it is even through the photo.

If it’s not slimy and doesn’t smell, you’re probably fine.

Looks fine to me. If it passes the smell test id keep.

  4. Don’t risk it. I’d spend 3000 dollars not to be sick

  5. Pork packed in vacuum sealed packaging like this usually comes with a pack date instead of a sell by date.  Most grocery stores will put a two week sell by date on it even if the shelf life is usually much longer.

Is it stinky or sticky/slimy? If not then it’s fine.

  7. Smell is not a test for food safety!! Plenty of pathogens can develop and get you sick before something smells off. If this was not frozen, it is risky. One month past the use by date for raw meat is a long time.

Use the smell test. Though when you first open a package it almost always has a stink. But let it air out and it that funk should fade in a few minutes.

Cut a small piece and give it to a cat. If the cat walks away then you know what to do…

Was it kept frozen or refrigerated up until the exp date?

Frozen, I’d eat it, anything else, sorry but no.
