Is there any bottles that might fly under the radar, that you think are worth trying?
I picked up two bottles.

That is a very cool shop. Which one is it?

Just about all of these are worth trying. But their radar cross-sections range between a football stadium and a city.

I see Nicola Gatta in the first slide on the left. It’s a Franciacorta producer based in Gussago which I personally love. He’s a bit of a personality and goes a bit against the most conventional current, but he really lets terroir do its thing. I can’t see the price so I don’t know if it’s worth or not. That’s up to you to decide, in Italy I would spend 40/50€ for the bottle and in Norway it goes for approx 150€ in a restaurant.
The rosè and Molener should be the ones I’d suggest, and use a pretty wide glass (ideally zalto Burgundy, or any Pinot glass for the matter).
And on slide 15 there is a bottle with Sardines on the label, it’s an unfiltered Chardonnay from Macon by Denogent which I didn’t know about until a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed multiple times (2018 vintage). It’s unfiltered and sulphite free, but it has nothing funky to it and the fruit profile is very fresh, not as tropical as Macon often displays.
A ton of beautiful bottles, but I don’t know how deep your pockets are. There are dozens of amazing wines, I wouldn’t say most fly under the radar though.

How much for the 93 Rothschild?

It’s definitely not under the radar, but that mag of Jaboulet La Chapelle would make me a happy boy.

Nice to see Ridge and Racines from California representing.

I’ve never seen a Selosse Initial pronounced as ‘Initiale’. Is it some different foreign labelling?

Is it just me or does Salon remind anyone else of Shrek?

I live in Dublin and love this shop, even though I live nowhere near it. One of the owners is from winemaking stock in the Loire and they have a great Loire selection, particularly for reds. I have found some great back vintages of Philippe Alliet Chinon there, particularly their Côteau de Noiré and L’Huisserie bottlings, worth checking what vintages they might have in back storage at the moment, they are great wines with some air. Their whole Loire selection is excellent
