Caught this in Alaska and made yeoneo-jang at home.

Fresh fillet + hot soy marinade with onions, garlic, and jalapeños.

Super simple, but the flavor is insane.

Honestly one of the best things I’ve made.

Anyone else make this at home? What’s your twist?

Please tell us you froze it at -4f for seven days to kill the anisakis worms

That looks incredible! Love that you caught it yourself in Alaska. The color on that salmon is perfect 👌 Have you tried adding a bit of sesame oil to the marinade?

For Sushi, only Atlantic Salmon is used.
Pacific Salmon is not eaten raw. Even in Japan, Salmon became a favorite sushi ingredient after Norwegians marketed their Atlantic Salmon.

    The reason is parasites.

Looks damn good. How can I experience freshly caught seafood dining in alaska? I’m planning to visit soon or later.

I also make yeoneo-jang at home.

    My recipe:

    1. Boil soy sauce, water, ginger, garlic, onion, dashima (kombu), and mirin
    2. Let it cool
    3. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice
    4. Add salmon
    5. Refigerate overnight
    6. Serve with rice and avocado
