A Suffolk restaurant that focuses on authentic Italian cuisine, has made waves on social media after a food influencer called it one of the most “unique”.
Il Salvatore, based in Lakenheath, was visited by foodie reviewer Alex Green who called his experience “top class”.
The restaurant opened in October 2024 in the former Plough pub following a significant renovation of the Mill Road site.
Green has built a platform on TikTok, reviewing eateries in the east, London and the midlands as he tries viral restaurants across the country.
To start, Green had the Arancino, describing the dish as “next level” before he moved onto the main course, a garlic butter pizza bowl.

He went on to describe the restaurant as giving him one of the “quirkiest Italian meals” he’s had.
“That food was faultless, and the staff were next level, very attentive, very nice.
“I genuinely cannot fault that experience.”
Green has more than 900,000 followers on TikTok and 22.9million likes on the same platform.
