London’s highly acclaimed Signor Sassi, part of the iconic family-run Italian restaurant group, San Carlo, officially opened its first U.S. location in Hallandale Beach, Miami on 14 March 2026. Like its predecessor in London’s prestigious Knightsbridge neighbourhood, adjacent to Harrods, this first North American outpost is set to become a favourite neighbourhood restaurant and a premier destination for exceptional dining and a lively atmosphere.

Over the past four decades, Signor Sassi has earned global admiration, becoming a London institution known as much for its atmosphere as its cuisine. The Knightsbridge restaurant has long attracted cultural icons and international stars — with artists such as Rihanna, The Rolling Stones, Mary J. Blige and Foo Fighters among the many familiar faces who have dined beneath its signature marble and mirrors. Loved for its warmth, discretion and unmistakable style, Signor Sassi remains a destination where guests feel equally at home — whether global celebrity or loyal long-standing regular.

The expansion into the United States marks a notable milestone for a brand that has maintained its iconic status since it opened its doors in London’s Knightsbridge Green in 1984, while retaining its signature “Sassi style” through locations in Dubai, Doha, and Egypt.

Led by Victorem Hospitality Group in co-management with San Carlo Group, the Hallandale Beach restaurant will bring an authentic taste of Italian culinary excellence to South Florida’s dynamic, ever-evolving and internationally inspired dining scene. With its signature Italian passion, exceptional cuisine and impeccable service, Signor Sassi will bring a new level of polish and panache to Hallandale Beach and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Marcello Distefano, CEO of San Carlo Group, said: “Bringing Signor Sassi to Miami marks a truly special milestone for us. Our family has always focused on creating restaurants that celebrate authentic Italian hospitality, and launching our first venture in North America is a very proud moment. Miami felt like the natural home for Signor Sassi — a vibrant, international city that appreciates exceptional food, style and atmosphere. We’re excited to introduce our heritage, our flavours and our way of welcoming guests to a whole new audience. We’re confident that Signor Sassi will make every guest’s experience unforgettable.”

The menu features an elevated selection of contemporary Italian cuisine, pairing classic dishes with innovative creations, all prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Highlights that have become favourites of socialites and royalty at the original Knightsbridge location include the famous Mezze Maniche all Carbonara with Seasonal Truffle, the signature Gamberetti & Calamari Fritti, and the Wagyu Tomahawk with Broccoletti & Roasted Potatoes.

The cocktail menu presents a mix of classic and creative serves designed to complement the cuisine, alongside an impressive wine list. Signature cocktails include the namesake Sassi Fashion, made with Four Roses bourbon, hazelnut maple syrup and Amaro, and the Mercante, crafted with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye 100 Proof, Carpano Antica, Campari, Amaro del Capo and Luxardo Aperitivo.

Thoughtfully designed by renowned London-based firm Fettle, Signor Sassi offers a warm and inviting setting where style and sophistication converge. The restaurant features a striking 200-seat indoor dining room, with an additional 25 seats outdoors, blending Italian influences with timeless elegance.

The interiors draw inspiration from the architecture and design of Venice, as well as the work of some of its most influential residents, including the iconic architect Carlo Scarpa, combined with the distinctive Art Deco architecture of South Florida. A mural by renowned artist Jessalyn Brooks, known for her angular, sculptural depictions of the female form, stretches across the wall. Plush pink, green and yellow pastel upholstery and drapery adorn the dining room, while glossy wood panelling and rich marble tables bring warmth to the space. A grand bar for cocktails and conversation anchors the room.
