HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A new restaurant in Carolina Forest celebrates its grand opening this week.

SeaBasil Thai & Seafood offers traditional Thai cuisine as well as Thai dishes mixed with Italian, American and Indian flair.

The owner is from Thailand.

When she would host dinner parties at home, her guests would urge her to open a restaurant.

She said she’s delighted to now have this location in Carolina Forest to share her family recipes, because she’s passionate about cooking and loves to eat.

“I try everything, like what my things that I love the most is Italian food, and I blend Italian food to Thai as well. So I’m so excited to show everybody our dishes,” Laddawn Fox from SeaBasil Thai & Seafood said.

SeaBasil Thai & Seafood’s grand opening is Friday.

The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. It’s located in the Forest Village Center on River Oaks Drive in Carolina Forest.
