I’ve got the XL model and absolutely love it. If you’re looking to sear or anything with high heat then get the searwood. I doubt my smoque will ever see temps over 300°F.

I don’t need it to sear, I have a Weber kettle and a gas grill. Super easy to use, we use it once a week or more. Perfect for 2 or 4. Easy clean up and the app/user interface works great.

Pay extra few hundred and get the searwood

I have the Smoque model you’re looking at, I love it. I have a normal gas grill for searing if needed.

Wait for it to go on sale. Seems like they go $100 off pretty frequently. Maybe not though with the weather warming up. I plan to get one here eventually.
