Not sure if this place is talked about on here often or not but I’ve always wanted to stop at the one on Melrose. I got a Philly Steak on a seeded roll with fried onions and cooper sharp(I did not know they carry cooper sharp here) and I think I might like it better than South Philly Experience. Highly Recommend to anyone who is a fan of Matù
Sorry for the blurry photo was too excited to eat it .

Ohhh those grilled onions are calling my name
How much?
Bruh what happen to that Tony Pops, he doesn’t post on here anymore. I always wanted to try one of those sandos 🙁
I think their bread is too soft. Their fries are fantastic, though
I go to this place in sgv. on the 7th, 17th and 27th they are 7.99. otherwise 12.99 still. And you get points on toast toward a free one, based on $ spent. San Dimas and Chino Hills. We also have West Coast Cheesesteak in Glendora which is very good. they make their own cheese sauce and they have a Chipotle version and a pasilla pepper version.

Idk if this place is related to the one in Burbank but I am not a fan. At least the sandwich here looks like it has plenty of meat unlike the one I’ve been to.
Downvoted cause no name? Kinda the most important thing…
Only one hoagie cheesesteak for me. Great Western Steak & Hoagie Co. on Lincoln in Venice
The chicken Philly with onions and sharp white American is one of my favorite sandwiches in LA. Absolutely perfect – better than South Philly and Boos. Matu is good but different
I believe reddit is reading my mind because I was just thinking about asking reddit for a philly cheesesteak place. Will be taking my husband there! He’s from philly and misses a good cheesesteak.
Go Birds
This place is really good. It’s a chain. Always enjoyed it.
How many of you, including OP, have actually had a philly cheesesteak in Philly? Just curious.
Alright alright. Lived 29 years in Burbank. Gonna go for first time tomorrow.
Philly boyz/Jawny’s >>>>
I was disappointed with Philly’s best in Encino. I would choose south philly experience any day over that even though it’s cheaper
Oh wow, noted. I didn’t know they had the seeded bun & coopers sharp.
what happened to that philly cheese steak guy with the apple cinnamon buns??
I’d put these against South Philly Experience in Mid City.
They also seem to be one of the few places you can get Taylor Pork Rolls around LA. I know because I somehow got my Texan wife into New Jersey food.
Is it as not soggy as Matu?
[Charley’s](https://www.charleys.com/) is another chain and is pretty decent; between myself and some friends we have varying preference between the 2.
If you find yourself in The Valley, [Sam’s Phillysteak](https://samsphillycheesesteak.com/) is a little bit of a hidden gem.
There are a handful of others worth trying, including “South Philly Experience”, “Philadelphia Steak & Hoagie”, “Jawny’s”, “Mr. V’s”, “Boo’s”, and “Great Western Steak & Hoagie”.
“Pardon My Cheesesteak” is not worth it, IMO.
Anyone tried Boo’s Philly cheesesteak in ktown?
Siiick, right near me. Thank you OP.
I order these from home more than I’d like to admit. They’re delicious but also CONSISTENT! Cheese/meat ratio never changes & THAT is to be appreciated. Side note: where in LA can we buy cooper’s sharp? I wanna try it on a burger
