I tried this exact kimchi and thought it was sort of gross.

I assume green leaf kimchi means only the outer leaves

Just tried that green leaf. The flavor is amazing but some parts were extremely stringy and tough. I threw it in various soups and it didn’t help the stringiness.

I wouldn’t buy any Korean food from Costco. The quality isn’t the same standard. However, their kimchi is pretty good. And those chicken thigh shaped Korean chips are so good we call em crack chips.

I love those potato noodles. I feel they have the best chewy texture of all ramyun I’ve had. That being said, I’m in the midwest and there’s no way they are going to have it at my Costcos. My locations already had the kimchi last month, I bought two bags when they were clearing them out for 4.97.

Is the sesame oil toasted? How was it? I usually get kadoya.

Rest it fermented for a little longer and try. Also, then steer fry for Kimchi Bokk-eum or make it Kimchi Jjim. (Stewed with pork belly..)
