This was my first Omakase experience in Japan. I got the reservation through tableall, 42,500 Yen (September 2025).

There were all foreigners here, including myself. Highly attentive service, and a busy kitchen in the back. Friendly vibe and that made me feel more at ease. I had a mat given for my camera.

A truly rewarding omakase experience with some of the best bites of sushi I have had.

This is an offshoot from Chef Saito, and supposedly all the same sourcing as their fish, although I found approaching a reservation at Sushi Saito would prove to be daunting.

The Sawara Herb Roll was one of the best bites I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced, sweet, briney with the herbs being perfectly complementary to the fish. Beautifully constructed as well, and during my stay one of the best bites overall.

The Aji part of the otsumami was perfectly tendered with a seared crispy skin and crisp negi on top. A fantastic bite flaunting the freshness of the fish.

Miso cod was a bit of a surprise to me, something I'm used to seeing in Asian fusion restaurants being done with heavy handed one note miso. This rendition of the famous dish was restrained, balance, and allowed the fish to shine while giving you that comforting warm miso flavor.

The hikarimono (silver skinned fish) was amongst the best I've experience, from the Iwashi to the Kohada and shima aji.

The chutoro, and toro excelled at delivering everything I expect from a premium tuna nigiri.

The ika and ebi stood out for their wonderful texture, the ika being tender yet bouncy and chewy in the most satisfying way, and the ebi being firm and bursting with sweetness and umami.

Red uni was a generous portion, not as sweet as bafun, but creamy and played perfectly with the shari.

The tamago, inari, and tuna belly futomaki were a great final punctuation to this meal. Not shown is the single slice of a luscious white peach as the "dessert"

This was a wonderful experience that set the bar for my first trip, and many other spots didn't hold up, but had their own unique vibes.

The space is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is sharp and we were greeted with many smiles throughout the meal, with the chef explaining everything in English, while I made sure to confirm the names in Japanese, as I'm trying to learn more.

I understand why it has a 4.21 on tabelog. Worth trying also because the Nakameguro neighborhood is serene and wonderful to walk around as well.

Did you try omakase.in before reaching out to Tableall? I paid around 25K for dinner back in 2024
