Way back in late 2024, we told readers about plans for a new Panda Express restaurant in Herndon. Now, after what seemed like a very long wait, construction work is underway on the project.
The Burn went by the site at 598 Elden Street and the doors were open and work had started inside the space.
The 3,800 s.f. building was a formerly a Burger King restaurant.
Panda Express has more than 2,400 locations, but along the 267 corridor, they are few and far between. There is one in Leesburg and one in Tysons, but none in between currently.

This Herndon location is one of at least two now in the works for that area.

No word yet when the Herndon location will open, so stay tuned.
