We decided to finally book a table at Single Thread in Healdsburg last night for our 16th anniversary, and decided to go for the nightly wine pairing as well ($300 each) and figured I’d share. Gotta say, absolutely floored by the Von Winning Riesling (fruity, but dry) and I know opinions here are mixed on Ceritas, but this 2021 Pinot started with cherry, ended peppery, and was perfectly paired with the duck. Casey, our somm, was also just great (I mean, the entire team was, of course, outstanding).

It’s a good list and I’m glad the dessert wine isn’t a Moscato d’Asti
Just an insanely good restaurant (and wine program). Well deserving of all of its stars.
I dunno…so many selections are just so young.
omg the von winning riesling is literally my fav!! i had it at a wine tasting last semester and it’s been on my “when i’m not broke” list ever since.
I think Ceritas is seriously well-respected on this sub across the board, did I miss something? Cool list.
I also enjoy the Von Winning Riesling–also their Sauvignon Blanc and Rose.
Seems for $600 you should do better. But I’ve not been and seems like you enjoyed so that’s all that matters
Some good wines there but for $300 I would definitely expect more.
I was also at Singlethread last night! I did not do the pairing however, I had some bottles.
Surely they have a deeper cellar.. I guess the somm likes young wines?
It’s the best restaurant I have been to hands down. I paid for the entry level wine pairing and wen I went by the wine station and talked about the DRC richbourg he had opened he let my have a little taste. Food and service was 10/10
My wife and I went and did the wine pairing in january – the Lioco was an absolute standout and we went to their tasting room in healdsburg the next week. Really great stuff
