Hi! I have this exact model (won as part of a silent auction bundle so can’t speak directly to price/value). I love it.
I’ve been using it for almost 2 years since and say that it’s totally hooked me on ice cream making. A very good “starter” model that’s simple to operate and clean, and I’m guessing you’ll probably start making batches now and then instead of daily (a category in which it suffers, unless you have multiple bowls pre-frozen).
In my experience, getting good at making the ice cream base (and using good quality ingredients, and stabilizers) will really make the difference in your final product. My taste testers arr always happy for free dessert but they’ve also told me that So if your first few batches aren’t to your liking, keep at it, browse this sub for recipes, get some ice cream books (your local library may have some), and you’ll find some very nice results!

I’ve had mine for about a year now and I love it. Small enough to experiment frequently with recipes I’ve always wanted to try. Done in 30 min or less.

That was my first ice cream maker and it’s a great starter machine. It will make as good quality ice cream as anything else out there. My main advice is to freeze it for 48 hrs instead of 24 hrs and make sure it’s positioned as far back in the freezer as you can to get it cold. I’ve made batches of ice cream w/ just 24 hrs in the freezer, and it didn’t quite freeze as much as I’d like.
If you continue with this hobby, you’ll find it very annoying because the bowl takes up a ton of freezer space. If you ever upgrade, you’ll likely get a compressor machine which will cost 4-5x more and will take up a ton of cabinet space. But for now, enjoy it, make a good amount of ice cream, and see where this journey takes you.

I’ve had one for about 5 years and am very happy with it. I keep the bowl in the freezer when not in use, so it’s always ready to go.

I’ve never had any issues with it.
My only problem with that is it is freaking loud.
