Tirokafteri, also known as htipiti. Greece is not known for its spicy food. You can probably count those dishes on one hand. This however is one of them.

But it’s more like we added some heat to feta by mixing it with smoked red peppers called “piperia Florinis”, cultivated in Florina, Greece, and red pepper flakes. Now you can actually add as much of that as you want & make it as spicy as you favor.

Use it as a dip. Spread it on a sandwich!

1 1/2 cups of feta cheese (in the brine)
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 Florina pepper
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup of extra virgin Greek olive oil
