Sweet focaccia made two ways by using my go-to sourdough focaccia recipe (https://alexandracooks.com/2019/03/22/simple-sourdough-focaccia-a-beginners-guide/) then splitting the proofed dough in half and topping one with blueberries (and lemon glaze after baking) and coating the other in cinnamon sugar (with simple sugar glaze)

Any other ideas for sweet focaccia toppings/inclusion flavors?

  1. If you like almond croissants I saw someone use the frangipane and piped it into the focaccia. Looked so good

    *sigh* another sourdough Reddit save.

But seriously these look AMAZING and I’ve never been more encouraged to make focaccia

Have a random question. If I use a rye starter and typically make a rye bread. Do I need to make a different starter if I wanted to make loaves with wheat flour? I’ve tried to make a loaf with just bread flour but I does not seem to bulk properly.

Trader Joe’s has a delicious guava jam that I bet would be tasty

I normally shy away from baked blueberries but that looks so good. They both turned out beautiful. I would go tart cherry instead of blueberries- mentioning the tart cherries because you specifically asked. But as a person who doesn’t eat baked blues – if I saw that in a bakery I would be tempted to try it.
